Short Term Base Camp Positions
Assistant Team Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with US churches to schedule, assist, and coordinate their Haiti Mission.
- Assess on-the-ground needs in Haiti and match teams with work to be done.
- Coordinate US Team logistics such as airport transportation, work shuttles, worksite needs & materials, local communication, and Team Facilitator directions.
Skills desirable:
- Construction coordination (projects, crews, etc),
- Computer (Skills in Mac as well as PC preferred, gmail calendar, email, blogging, as needed)
- Strategic thinker
- Able to drive 4spd manual vehicle on rough roads in heavy traffic,
- Great interpersonal skills needed
- Encourager

- Able to work in hot, difficult environment
Accountable to: Base Camp Coordinator
Commitment: 6 months with willingness to extend another 6 months. Living Expenses: $600 per month.

Team Facilitator
Responsibilities:
- Work with Team Coordinator to facilitate US teams & work projects
- Transport teams, assist with projects
- Facilitate team needs
Skills desirable:
- Some construction experience helpful
- Good computer skills needed, preferably Mac and PC proficient
- Ability to ‘see’ work to be done & follow a plan
- Able to handle money & make purchases

Communications and Logistics Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with US incoming teams.
- Managing website details, updating blog, sending monthly communiques and activity reports.
- Updating email contacts database.
Skills desirable:

- Ability to ‘see’ work to be done & follow a plan
- Able to handle money & make purchases

Teacher
Responsibilities:
- Have the ability to teach beginner to intermediate ESL (English as Second Language) class.
- Teach enrichment classes to local primary school. (Examples: Music, Art, English)
Skills desirable:
- College level teaching degree or have taken college level teaching courses.
- Good computer skills needed, preferably Mac and PC proficient
- Ability to ‘see’ work to be done & follow a plan
- Good people skills needs
- Ability to work with limited budget and supplies
